What We Do
HighHER TogetHER is a multi-year, cohort-based
leadership development program for girls in grades 5–12.
Why It Matters
-
All women: Earn 83 cents per dollar that men earn
-
Black women: Earn 66 cents per dollar that white, non-Hispanic men earn
-
Latina women: Earn 58 cents per dollar that white, non-Hispanic men earn
-
Women hold about 11% of Fortune 500 CEO roles
Bottom Line?
Girls are growing up in a world where leadership opportunities are expanding—
but barriers are still evident and slow to disappear.
Add to that, policy shifts and societal trends—and it becomes clear,
forward movement for women must be built, protected, and led.

HOW WE DIFFER
Short-term intensity vs. long-term development
Most leadership programs fall into one of two categories: short-term intensives that are costly and selective, or longer-running programs that lack depth, structure, or progression.
HighHER TogetHER offers a multi-year, cohort-based leadership pathway with structured skill progression—delivered through a monthly model that is significantly more accessible than elite summer-only experiences.
Empowerment vs. leadership mastery
Many programs emphasize confidence-building and empowerment but treat leadership as an outcome rather than a skill that is intentionally taught and practiced.
HighHER TogetHER treats leadership as a discipline—one that develops through instruction, practice, feedback, reflection, and accountability over time.
Occasional opportunity vs. consistent proximity
Participants may occasionally meet community leaders or professionals but typically engage in programming within the same familiar settings.
HighHER TogetHER normalizes girls’ presence in professional and academic leadership environments and provides consistent, multi-generational leadership proximity through trained facilitators, community leaders, and near-peer mentors.
